WHAT...Flooding caused by upstream dam release is occurring.
WHERE...Southeastern Conecuh County in south central Alabama... West Central Covington County in south central Alabama... East Central Escambia County in south central Alabama...
WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT Monday.
IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
At 1110 PM CDT, an upstream floodgate release is expected to cause flooding in low lying areas along the Conecuh River.
Flooding is occurring along the Conecuh River.
Some locations that will experience flooding include... River Falls and Beck.
What to do: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

For the Tombigbee River...including Coffeeville Dam, Coffeeville Dam
upstream, Leroy...Minor flooding is forecast.
WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
WHERE...Tombigbee River near Leroy.
WHEN...Until late Tuesday night.
IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, flooding of low lying farm and pasturelands begins. Cattle in low lying areas should be moved to higher ground. Water approaches low lying roads on west side of river.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
At 9:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 23.9 feet.
Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 24.6 feet Monday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday evening.
Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
What to do: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Pastureland becomes flooded. Livestock should be moved to higher ground. Old Ferry Road near the river begins to flood.

Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
