ZipCheckup is operated by LR Digital LLC. ZipCheckup ("we," "us," "our") operates the website zipcheckup.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
Information We Collect
ZIP Code Searches
When you search for safety data, we process your ZIP code to retrieve relevant reports. We do not link your searches to your identity.
Email Address
If you subscribe to get notified when your water safety score changes, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you updates about your ZIP code and occasional site news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Analytics Data
We use two analytics services to understand how visitors use our site:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — collects anonymized data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic region. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity — records anonymized session replays and heatmaps to help us improve page layouts. Clarity does not collect personal information. Clarity Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information
- Display relevant safety data for your area
- Send email updates about changes to your water safety score (if you subscribed)

Phone Calls
When you call a phone number displayed on our site, your call is routed to an independent local service provider through our advertising partner (ClickDealer/PPCall network). The phone number and call duration may be recorded for quality assurance and billing. Your phone number is not sold to third parties. See our Advertising Disclosure for more details.
Third-Party Services
We share data with the following third parties, only as described above:
- Google Analytics — traffic measurement (Google Privacy Policy)
- Microsoft Clarity — session replay and heatmaps (Microsoft Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare — hosting and security (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- ClickDealer / PPCall — phone call routing to service providers
- Affiliate partners (Aquasana, Waterdrop, Tap Score) — if you click an affiliate link, that partner may set their own cookies. We do not control their privacy practices.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Your Rights
All Users
You can request deletion of any personal data we hold (such as your email address) by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
You can also:
- Opt out of Google Analytics using this browser add-on
- Block cookies through your browser settings
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email we send
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights:
- Right to Know. You can request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months, including the categories of information, the sources, the business purpose, and the third parties we shared it with.
- Right to Delete. You can request that we delete your personal information. We will also direct our service providers to delete your information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale. We do not sell your personal information. If we ever change this practice, we will add a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link to our site.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising your CCPA rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "CCPA Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days as required by law.
Children's Privacy
ZipCheckup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If we make significant changes, we will note it prominently on the site.
