  • WHAT...Heat index values between 100 to 105 expected.

  • WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

  • WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Tuesday.

  • IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Higher humidity levels combined with hot temperatures on Tuesday may cause heat index values to near 110 degrees.

What to do: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
