WHAT...Heat index values between 100 to 105 expected.
WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.
WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Tuesday.
IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Higher humidity levels combined with hot temperatures on Tuesday may cause heat index values to near 110 degrees.
What to do: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
