WHAT...Heat index values up to 95 expected.
WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Koochiching, Cass, Itasca, Carlton, St. Louis, and Northern Cook and Lake Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake, Big Sandy Lake and, East Lake areas and the Bois Forte Band, Nett Lake, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilion areas. Other locations including Voyageurs National Park, Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The entire Boundary Waters is also included.

Most areas are expected to observe Unhealthy (Red) AQI PM2.5, with the heaviest impacts to the northeast where Very Unhealthy (Purple) AQI PM2.5 will be possible. Some areas to the southwest may only experience Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) AQI PM2.5.
