Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County.

  • WHAT...No flooding is currently forecast.

  • WHERE...Little Osage River near Horton.

  • WHEN...Until late this afternoon.

  • IMPACTS...At 41.0 feet, minor flooding affects low lying areas near the gage site and farmland along the river.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  • At 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 39.9 feet.

  • Bankfull stage is 41.0 feet.

  • Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 30.6 feet Monday morning.

  • Flood stage is 41.0 feet.

  • Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 40.7 feet on 06/07/2003.

  • WHERE...Osage River at Taberville.

  • WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.

  • IMPACTS...At 23.3 feet, The handicapped access to the Osage River launch near Taberville floods.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  • At 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.1 feet.

  • Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.

  • Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 23.2 feet.

  • Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.

  • Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
